SpankoLife is taking the Spanking World by storm

Wow, what a couple months its been. Spankos from around the world have been joining up in the hundreds and were now up to almost 3800 members! I recently also did an interview with Dave from the cherryredreport.com www.thecherryredreport.com which was a lot of fun and helped get the word out about SpankoLife.

It's been wonderful meeting new members from all over the world and getting feedback from them on what they love about SpankoLife, what needs improvement and ideas and suggestions to make it even better. If you havent joined up yet, please do and feel free to say hi to me!

Spankolife hits 1200 members

Wow, the last couple weeks have seen hundreds of spankos from all over the world find spankolife and join up. We hit our 1000th member mid last week and now are well over 1200 members as of June 22. If you have an interest in spanking and havent joined already, I encourage you too because I am pretty sure you will feel at home there and you likely will recognize a few famous faces and names from the spanking world. Facebook is fun but you cant really share your spanking interests there and they censor things, same thing with myspace. Fetlife is a great spot for those of us with Kinky interests and Im a member there but it too has its flaws if your into spanking. Fetlife caters to fetishes of all kinds and has a decidedly S&M feel to it, which is fine but most spankos prefer a slightly different feel and aesthetic.

Spankolife off to a great start

Spankolife already has had over 300 members join up in the one week since it launched. We have spankos from over 15 countries and members from 71 to 19 so there really is a place for every person who has an interest in spanking. We also have had members post over 200 spanking pictures so far so if you like spanking pics, this is a great place to see both professional and amateur spanking pictures.

Well its finally up and running after some longer then expected delays. As I wrote about before the last spanking social network I started was shut down when the provider NING, decided to get rid of all adult content and as a result spankoworld became inoperative. Since that happened I have been diligently researching options which would allow those with an interest in spanking to connect. After much consideration I decided the only right way to do this was to buy my own domain, and pay for a hosting service which while much more expensive than the other options, it’s the only one which will allow us to connect & discuss our favourite subject without fear of persecution or risk of being shut down again.

Spankolife will be the worlds first social network by spankos for spankos and will celebrate the love of the reddened bottom and the sting of the spank. Think of it as facebook for those with an interest in spanking and related activities and your pretty close. Many of you are also likely familiar with fetlife and Spankolife will be similar but much more tightly focused on spanking and related interests rather then the much broader BDSM and fetish world. It will be a place to meet, share pictures, stories and experiences, blog, live chat, announce spanking events and parties, place or respond to personals and buy and sell spanking related products and much much more.

Well it finally happened

For those of you who were a member of spanko world on NING, unfortunatly it appears to have been closed out due to adult content. NING made a decision in late 2008 to remove all groups that have adult content and unfortunatly of course spanking falls into that category.

The good news is that I have been actively seeking a new home for spankoworld for the past 6 weeks and I have been successful in finding a great new location that promises to accept and even cater to networks that have adult content. Unlike NING however they will be charging a fee to use their software and bandwidth but I am confident that by placing ads and having some pay content on spank world that I will be able to figure out a way to recoup the monthly payments..........or at least thats the plan.

I plan on making Spanko World the premiere social networking site for spankos on the internet and have some great ideas and plans to make that happen hopefully starting with the 1000 plus members we had on NING and by encouraging every spanko across the globe to join up so we can have our very own version of facebook.

I am currently doing some beta testing on the new site, and trying to figure out how to make it economicaly feasible but stay tuned to this blog for information on the grand re-opening of spanko world which I hope will be sometime in mid February.

Spanko World

Well, its been a long time since I posted here but it still seems to get a lot of traffic so I thought I would let everyone know about a new online spanking community I have started. Its called Spank World and one of the reasons I started is the reason I stopped blogging. I want to have a dialogue with others and not just be on an island posting and not knowing what others feel and think. So I started this group to try and make a really strong online spanking community with interaction between the members. Its going to be for anyone and everyone with an interest in spanking, whether you are into Male/Female spanking, Female/Female, discipline spanking, erotic spanking or any other kind of spanking

Its a great format and will have discussion groups, personal ads, spanking picture and video postings, members stories, and whatever else the community thinks might be worthwhile. I have posted a few spanking pics already from my archives and there will be lots more to come.
